At Stiles Point Elementary School, we spent the 2025–2026 school year firmly Anchored in Excellence, building upon our tradition of academic achievement, innovation, and strong relationships while preparing students for success in an ever-changing world. Our commitment remains centered on developing the world-class knowledge, skills, and life and career characteristics outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.
Excellence is not an endpoint but a continuous pursuit, and throughout the year our students, staff, and families embraced that mindset. Through rigorous instruction, high expectations, and a relentless focus on student growth, we worked to ensure every child was challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our teachers utilized data-driven instructional practices, personalized learning opportunities, and collaborative planning to meet the diverse needs of learners while maintaining a strong focus on academic achievement in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.Beyond academics, we remained deeply committed to supporting the whole child. Social-emotional learning, responsive classroom practices, counseling services, and targeted interventions helped create a school environment where students felt safe, valued, and connected. Through these efforts, students developed important life skills such as perseverance, responsibility, empathy, collaboration, and self-advocacy—qualities that will serve them well both inside and outside the classroom.
This year was marked by significant accomplishments that reflect the strength of our school community. We proudly maintained our reputation for academic excellence while continuing to expand opportunities for student engagement through the arts, leadership opportunities, service learning, extracurricular activities, and through STEM experiences during our inaugural year of PLTW-Launch for Kindergarten through 5th graders. Students participated in meaningful learning experiences that encouraged creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and sportsmanship, helping them develop the skills necessary to thrive in the future. One of the highlights of the school year was receiving the South Carolina Palmetto Silver Award, recognizing the exceptional academic growth and achievement demonstrated by our students. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff, the support of our families, and the hard work of our students.
As we reflect on another remarkable year, we are proud of all that our students have accomplished and grateful for the collective efforts of everyone who contributes to making Stiles Point such a special place. Success is made possible through strong partnerships with our families and community. Our PTA, School Improvement Council, volunteers, business partners, and community stakeholders play an invaluable role in enriching the educational experience for our students. Their support helps create opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom and fosters a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility for student success.Together, we remain committed to ensuring that every child is known, valued, challenged, and supported as they grow into confident learners and responsible citizens. With a strong foundation in place and an exciting future ahead, Stiles Point Elementary will continue to pursue excellence in all that we do.
