We aspire to empower students to achieve greatness by providing meaningful learning experiences and fostering a family atmosphere that supports the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all students. Our vision defines our culture, shapes our daily work with students, their families, and the greater community. We are committed to ensuring all students are prepared for success in school, life, and are able to adapt to a diverse, ever-changing world. We have an obligation to challenge every student to meet higher academic standards than his/her current level. In order to accomplish this, we believe that our students deserve an exceptional and passionate staff who share our core values.

Our school challenges students with a results-driven, standards-based curriculum that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. Driven by SC State Standards, our staff provides a rigorous curriculum that includes opportunities for acceleration, remediation, and enrichment through small group instruction, intervention, and the gifted/talented program. As our teachers and staff grow professionally, they continue to develop their skills by participating in professional development activities and focusing on instructional strategies to improve student achievement and engagement in all subjects. Our House System brings our family core values to life by fostering a deep sense of belonging, unity, and teamwork across all grade levels. Students are celebrated for making good choices, using important life skills, and contributing to a culture of kindness and connection.

Our School Improvement Council, PTO, and various community organizations provide support to our school and students.  Our School Improvement Council meets regularly to discuss the academic progress of our school and to discuss parental involvement activities and community support for school events. We have 100% parental participation in parent-teacher conferences. We frequently invite our families to school and have many parent workshops throughout the school year. These workshops focus on the following areas: Early Reading Strategies, Understanding iReady Reports, Gifted and Talented, Math Family Nights, and various parenting topics such as Utilizing the Parent Portal, Assessment, and Preparing for Middle School and Beyond.
