At Forest Heights Elementary School, growth is more than a goal—it is who we are. Every day, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities that empower every child to reach their highest potential through the World Class Skills outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. As a school on the rise, we continue to build a culture of excellence where every decision is driven by one purpose: doing what is best for students.
Guided by our motto, "We Can and We Will," and grounded in our belief to "Love Them First," we strive to ensure that every student is seen, valued, challenged, and supported. Our dedicated faculty and staff intentionally create learning experiences that foster academic achievement while nurturing the social and emotional well-being of every child. We believe that when students feel safe, connected, and inspired, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
Each school day begins by building community through classroom meetings that strengthen relationships, develop student voice, and create a positive foundation for learning. Our instructional program is intentionally designed to maximize every minute of the day. Students engage in a comprehensive literacy block that develops strong readers, writers, and critical thinkers through high-quality literacy instruction, followed by focused mathematics instruction that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world application. Through whole-group instruction, small-group differentiation, intervention, enrichment, and purposeful student discourse, we are committed to meeting the needs of every learner.
As a one-to-one technology school, every student has access to digital tools that enhance instruction, promote creativity, and prepare them for success in an ever-changing world. Beyond the classroom, students have opportunities to discover and develop their talents through strings, music, visual arts, science exploration, and district-wide academic competitions where our Eagles continue to excel. Our hands-on learning experiences encourage curiosity, innovation, and the confidence to think beyond the classroom.
At Forest Heights, positive school culture is intentionally cultivated every day. As a PBIS and House System school, we celebrate positive choices, build meaningful relationships, and teach students the importance of leadership, responsibility, kindness, and service. Our House System creates a sense of belonging while encouraging teamwork, school pride, and character development that extends far beyond the classroom.
As a proud member of the Richland One family, Forest Heights Elementary continues to grow stronger each year. We are honored to serve an incredible community and remain committed to educating the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and ethically. We are preparing students not only for the next grade level but for a lifetime of success as confident learners, compassionate leaders, and productive citizens.
We are Forest Heights.
We Can and We Will.
