Lewisville Middle School is a beautiful institution of learning that is on the move from great to world-class achievement. Located in the town of Richburg, South Carolina, Lewisville Middle School is a part of the Chester County School District, where we are preparing students to compete academically with their global counterparts and for the future workforce. We have world-class academic programs and more than twenty athletic teams, student clubs, and activities that support the involvement of over 280 students in grades six through eight.
In addition to our twelve core content teachers, Lewisville Middle School has five exploratory teachers, three special education teachers, two interventionists, full- and part-time counselors, a literacy coach, an information technology specialist, a school nurse, a school safety officer, and more than ten additional staff members who help operate one of the best middle schools in the state of South Carolina.
Led by Principal Brian A. Edmond, Lewisville Middle School fosters the development of world-class leaders by enhancing students' knowledge, life skills, and career characteristics to meet the expectations outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. Our school helps all students develop the World-Class Skills identified in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by meeting weekly to discuss students' Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), Fountas & Pinnell (F&P), and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS/RTI) data to improve classroom best practices and student achievement. Faculty members also provide free tutoring and sponsor numerous student clubs and activities to enrich both academic learning and life skills.
Through the support of and partnerships with the community, Lewisville Middle School continues to thrive in its mission of helping all students develop the world-class skills and knowledge needed to be college and career ready. Our partnership with Giti Tire in Richburg, South Carolina, exposes students to activities, projects, and on-site experiences that promote creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, communication, and the use of technology to solve real-world problems.
