Chester High School is committed to preparing our students to meet the demands of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing challenging, lifelong learning opportunities in a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment.

Located in Chester, South Carolina, Chester High School is a public high school serving approximately 650 diverse students in grades 9–12. CHS is accredited by the State of South Carolina and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). We operate on a 4x4 block schedule, allowing students to earn eight credits each year while engaging in meaningful, rigorous instruction. We also offer weekly club opportunities, enabling students to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and build meaningful connections during the school day.

Chester High School collaborates with our parents through the School Improvement Council (SIC) and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), as well as with our community partners, to foster an environment of engagement, enthusiasm, and excellence. As a school community, our goal is to continue our tradition of excellence while ensuring Chester High School remains a place where students maximize their educational opportunities and develop into caring, responsible, and productive citizens.

We are committed to developing world-class skills by offering a broad range of academic opportunities, including Dual Credit, Honors, College Preparatory, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and Advanced coursework. Our focus is to ensure every student learns at high levels by providing teachers with meaningful feedback, ongoing professional development, and the resources necessary to support student success.
